At Reconext, our R&D and engineering teams are focused on scaling proven tools while advancing new concepts into build and prototype phases. These efforts are central to how we deliver smarter, faster, and more sustainable operations for our customers worldwide.
Here are just a few of the projects our teams are working on right now:
Advancing Cleaning Automation
Our engineering teams are beta testing an automated cleaning solution. This system combines both dry and wet cleaning technologies to handle high-volume device processing. By introducing more automation into this step, we’re able to improve quality, reduce variation, and free up operators for higher-value tasks.
Label Removal Innovation
One of the most repetitive and time-consuming manual processes on the shop floor is label removal. Reconext R&D is developing an automated system designed to take on this task. After successful trials in our R&D lab confirmed feasibility, the first prototype is now being built. Once fully mature, this innovation will save significant labor, improve consistency, and create efficiencies across multiple service lines.
Smarter Front-End Flows
Our teams are also designing automation for receiving and re-labeling processes—steps that are critical to accuracy and traceability. Automating these front-end flows not only improves efficiency but also enhances operator safety and reduces error rates.
Automated Material Movement
Looking beyond single processes, we are planning the deployment of Automated Mobile Robots (AMRs) to manage material transport inside our facilities. By reducing manual movement, these robots will support leaner, more responsive operations and ensure consistent flow across programs.
Every initiative underway is a step toward smarter, more consistent, and more scalable operations. By combining automation, advanced inspection, and process redesign, Reconext is pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in technology lifecycle services.
We look forward to sharing more of these innovations as they progress and to exploring how they can inspire new solutions for the industry.
