Process

What happens to each device you send us

  1. Program setup

    Define your contacts, locations and the standards a device must meet to return to your fleet, including repair budgets and approved part sources. A Reconext specialist then reviews your configuration and schedules your first pickup.

  2. Register a return

    Employees register individual devices for a prepaid tracking label, or IT submits a bulk list through the portal or by API.

  3. Secure intake

    Each device is verified against your records by serial number and asset tag before any processing begins.

  4. Hold and wipe

    Devices under legal hold are quarantined and returned to you, and all others receive certified data erasure with a certificate for every device.

  5. Test and grade

    Automated diagnostics and AI-powered cosmetic grading assess the condition of every device objectively.

  6. Path assessment

    Your rules decide each device's path: redeployment, repair with your approval, resale, donation or certified recycling.

  7. Recover

    Redeployed devices ship to your office or directly to employees, and resale revenue is shared with you, with every step recorded in your dashboard.

Workplace equipment FAQ

How is this different from ITAD?

ITAD retires equipment at the end of its life. Data is erased, value is recovered and the rest is recycled. This program keeps your best devices working. We restore them and send them back to your team, and resell only what doesn't meet your standard.

Do we pay to have devices restored?

Restoration is billed per device. Revenue from the devices we sell for you is credited to your account and offsets those fees.

How is our data protected?

Every device is erased to NIST SP 800-88 with ADISA-certified tools and gets its own erasure certificate. Devices stay in a tracked chain of custody from pickup to final report.

Are restored devices covered by a warranty?

Yes. All work is backed by a 12-month warranty, and we perform any repairs.

What systems do you connect to?

We integrate with leading IT asset management platforms, including ServiceNow, and can connect to your ERP, WMS and CRM systems.

Do you support multi-site and international programs?

Yes. We operate 22 facilities across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific, and you can upload a list of collection sites during onboarding.
