Celebrating Culture Across Reconext

Feb 17, 2026 | About us

As we move further into the year, we’re reflecting on how our teams around the world welcomed 2026.

The start of a new year brings more than business goals. It brings traditions, celebrations, and opportunities to reconnect. Across Reconext, employees came together to honor cultural milestones that reflect the diversity and spirit of our global community.

Día de Reyes in Mexico

Across our Mexicali, Reynosa, and Mexico City facilities, teams gathered to celebrate Día de Reyes, traditionally observed on January 6 to mark the arrival of the Three Wise Men and close out the holiday season in Mexico.

A central part of the celebration is sharing Rosca de Reyes, a sweet, ring-shaped bread that symbolizes the season. Employees gathered to enjoy hot chocolate and Rosca de Reyes together, bringing a familiar holiday custom into the workplace.

Lunar New Year in Suzhou

In Suzhou, employees partook in an annual dinner and team hiking activity in celebration of the upcoming Lunar New Year 2026, which marks the Year of the Horse in the Chinese zodiac. The Horse is traditionally associated with energy, resilience, and forward movement, making it a fitting symbol for the year ahead.

The evening included a celebratory banquet, a lucky prize draw, and recognition of outstanding employees and length-of-service award recipients. The gathering also provided an opportunity to thank the team for their continued commitment and contributions throughout the past year while welcoming the new one together.

Pongal Celebration in Penang

In Penang, employees celebrated Pongal, a traditional harvest festival widely observed by Tamil communities in mid-January. Pongal marks the end of the harvest season and centers on gratitude for abundance, while also symbolizing hope for prosperity and success in the year ahead.

The celebration featured colorful decorations, traditional music, and symbolic elements representing prosperity and togetherness. Employees from various departments participated, creating a warm and festive atmosphere that reflected the cultural diversity within the workplace.

A Global Team, Connected by Shared Moments

While each celebration reflects a unique tradition, they share a common purpose: bringing people together. From Día de Reyes in Mexico to Lunar New Year in China and Pongal in Malaysia, these moments reinforce the importance of community, appreciation, and inclusion across our global network.
