Last month, our facilities around the world were alive with celebrations, learning, and community engagement. Here are just a few of the highlights:
Team Spirit in Texas
In Grapevine, team appreciation is part of the everyday culture. Weekly treats like donuts and ice cream keep morale high, alongside a Staff Shout-Outs board that allows employees to recognize one another. These small gestures make a big impact, building a workplace where people feel seen and valued.
Community and Connection in Mexicali
In Mexicali, our teams showed the power of community and connection. The facilities welcomed Mundo de Chocolate, an association that helps young people with Down syndrome build skills and independence through chocolate making. Employees were proud to support this meaningful initiative, which highlights how small actions can make a big impact. Team spirit was also on display during a friendly basketball game, bringing colleagues from Plant 1 and Plant 2 together for some healthy competition and plenty of camaraderie.
Recognition was another theme this month. Reconext Mexicali received the ELSSA award from the Mexican Social Security Institution, a distinction that acknowledges safe and healthy work environments. Employees also took part in training sessions ranging from retirement planning to customs compliance, giving them practical knowledge that supports both their professional growth and our operational excellence.
Celebrations in Reynosa
August was a lively month in Reynosa. Our mascots Recolina and Recolino brought plenty of Reconext spirit to the site, while employees celebrated birthdays with raffles and prizes that added a festive touch.
One highlight of the month was a Scholarship Awards Ceremony on August 25, where 40 scholarships of 1,200 MXN each were presented to employees recognized for their academic performance. This program reflects our commitment to supporting education and professional growth, while celebrating the dedication and drive of our team members. The month wrapped up with a spirited sports tournament that strengthened teamwork and camaraderie across the site.
Building Skills in Zoetermeer
Professional growth was front and center in Zoetermeer last month. Colleagues completed a series of trainings and successfully earned certifications in areas such as VCA and powered industrial trucks. These achievements help our people work safer, smarter, and with greater confidence, while strengthening the site’s collective expertise. Congratulations to everyone who reached a new milestone and demonstrated what continuous learning looks like in action.
Friendship & Wellness in Havant
The UK team embraced Well Being Awareness Month with activities tied to National Wellness Month, Cycle to Work Day, and World Relaxation Day. They also celebrated World Friendship Day with a funky hat contest that brought plenty of laughter and creativity to the workplace.
Summer Refreshments in Suzhou
In China, our Suzhou facility hosted a summer refreshment event, treating employees to juice, ice cream, and fruit during lunch. It was a simple way to help people recharge and feel appreciated during the hottest days of the year.
Heritage and Team Spirit in Jakarta
Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day was celebrated with traditional games that brought out plenty of smiles and laughter. From marble races to rubber band relays, the day was about more than fun. It was a celebration of unity, heritage, and pride.
Giving Back in Penang
The Penang team combined Malaysia’s Independence Day with a bowling tournament that brought colleagues together for a fun day of competition and camaraderie. They also carried out a grocery distribution, giving every direct labor employee a pack of daily essentials. It was a small gesture that sparked big smiles across the facility.
